The temporary budget bill was not approved in the U.S.

On the 20th day of the government shutdown, the U.S. Senate rejected a temporary budget bill proposed by Republicans to provide funding for the federal government.

Due to the lack of funding that caused the federal government to shut down, the Senate held another vote.

House Speaker Johnson warned that the country is heading toward the longest government shutdown in history. It was also reported that the U.S. may not pay salaries to around 46,000 soldiers during the shutdown.

The temporary budget bill proposed by Republicans, which aimed to fund the government through November 21, was once again rejected with 50 votes in favor and 43 against.
