Sweden-based cryptocurrency exchange Safello, known for its focus on the Nordic markets and regulated under Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen), has announced that it will sponsor the Swedish Counter-Strike Cup 2025 — the country’s largest national esports tournament. The competition will culminate in live finals in Stockholm in November 2025.
This marks Safello’s first-ever esports partnership, signaling the company’s growing commitment to reaching younger, tech-savvy audiences who are highly active in gaming and digital finance. The collaboration will provide extensive exposure through Fragbite Group’s media channels, as well as live broadcasts on Expressen, Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, expected to reach over one million viewers across Sweden and the wider Nordic region.
By aligning with Sweden’s vibrant gaming community, Safello aims to boost brand awareness and encourage interaction with its crypto trading app and payment services, which enable easy and secure Bitcoin and Ethereum purchases using local payment methods such as Swish.
The event, organized by Fragbite AB, features a SEK 300,000 prize pool and stands as one of the most anticipated esports competitions in Scandinavia. Safello’s branding and digital activations will be visible throughout the tournament, including during the Stockholm grand finals, underscoring the company’s ambition to blend finance, innovation, and entertainment in the next wave of crypto adoption.
With this move, Safello follows a broader industry trend where crypto exchanges are increasingly partnering with esports and gaming platforms, recognizing them as natural allies in driving mainstream adoption of digital assets among a new generation of users.
