Gemini Gains Momentum with New Solana Credit Card Following XRP Success

Following the success of its XRP card, Gemini has launched the Solana Credit Card, which combines spending with staking, offers high crypto cashback rewards, and expands real-world blockchain utility across mainstream consumer finance.

Reward Structure

Gemini detailed the reward tiers for its newest card:

  • Up to 4% back on gas, EV charging, and rideshares
  • 3% back on dining
  • 2% back on groceries
  • 1% back on all other purchases

This tiered reward model is consistent across all Gemini Credit Card versions, regardless of the cryptocurrency selected for rewards. Each version provides the same cashback rates, allowing users to earn in over 50 supported cryptocurrencies. The difference lies in blockchain-specific features — the Solana version introduces automatic staking, while the XRP version focuses on instant crypto payments.

Gemini added, “We are also partnering with select merchants to offer up to 10% back on eligible purchases for all Gemini Credit Card holders.” These merchant-based bonuses apply universally across all cardholders.

Automatic Staking on Solana

For the first time, Gemini customers can automatically stake their Solana rewards.

“With this feature, Gemini Credit Card users can lock their crypto to help secure the Solana network while earning rewards,” the company explained.

Gemini highlighted Solana’s strong developer ecosystem and its expanding role in blockchain infrastructure as key reasons for this strategic expansion.

Integration with Mastercard and WebBank

The Solana version follows Gemini’s earlier XRP card launch, both issued by WebBank and operating on the Mastercard network. Each version shares the same core program and zero-fee structure — no annual fees or foreign transaction charges — while providing access to Mastercard World Elite benefits.

Together, these releases underline Gemini’s strategy to bridge traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) by turning crypto rewards into a mainstream financial feature.
